Crossosomataceae is a very small family of shrubs commonly called the Crossosoma Family. They are only found in the arid parts of the American west, southwest and Mexico.

Crossosoma Family has only 7 species found in North America, north of Mexico.

Crossosomataceae has 3 genera with only 8 accepted species name. Arizona has all 3 genera and 3 species with several varieties.
